Eten, drinken, en wees Maria.

I have to admit that I've been putting off this email for last. It seems like so much to write, even though I know it isn't. Just another little mountain to climb.

I'll start off with something I forgot to mention last week; it was a pretty cool experience. We were out contacting in a park when we came across three people sitting on a blanket with an electric guitar and little battery powered amp.--two guys from Sudan and a Dutch girl. We went to talk to them and learned that one of the guys was a reggae artist in a Bob Marley tribute band. We ended up sitting with them for almost an hour singing Bob Marley songs and talking about the gospel. It turned out the the Dutch girl had actually been to the open house of the temple! Very cool. We didn't get any crazy awesome lesson from it, but it was certainly an awesome way to share some gospel truths. AMEN!

Okay, a little interesting point of business. It was announced on Tuesday that transfer dates after this November are moving forward a week. Yes, that does mean that I will be coming home June 1st instead of June 8th. There was some issue with flights later in the year, so they're doing this. While all it really does for me is shorten my mission a bit, it actually came as an answer to prayer for a lot of Elders worried about school deadlines and things. Interesting, huh? Don't freak out too much, Mom.

We worked this week in Groningen! It was really cool to see the city again.... and very odd to see how few of the members remembered me. Heck, my picture was still even up on the bulletin board as one of the missionaries in the city! C'mon people! I can tell who's missionary minded and who isn't now! But it was cool. We had a lot of appointments, and I think we really helped some people out.

President also had us over for lunch this week. I think he's sad to be leaving so soon. It was very pleasant, though. We had a good time.

Later that same day we figured out that we'll be singing for a funeral next Tuesday. By that I mean tomorrow. And we learned yesterday that they want us to sing a song that I haven't learned yet.... that is quite difficult. I'm crapping my pants more than a little bit. We'll see what happens. I have a lot of work to do.

Well, I have some pictures, also stuff from awhile ago, so, yeah! Get pumped.
Gotta love the Asian student housing!

See! I'm still there! Gosh, Groningen.....

The oddest mailbox and mailbox placement I've ever seen.

This tree had an odd white covering all over it. Elder Hunter and I were quite confused.

Upon closer inspection, we realized that it was covered in silk and silk worms! All of the trees in this area looked like this! How cool is that?

Guess what that is! It's Germany! We may have popped over the border after an appointment that was sitting right next to it.... It wasn't actually that special.

I just about died watching this. Elder Hunter and Elder Conatti were doing a fake confessional scene. Apparently Catholic Priests wear comforters? But seriously, I fell out of my chair four or five times laughing. It's also where I got the title from.

And the moment you've all been waiting for. It's been awhile!

CAAAAATTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!
All right. That's everything for this week! I love you all!

Elder Shaw
